We had a great 3 day weekend. My youngest sister, Emily, and my youngest niece, Michayla, came to spend Saturday and Sunday with us. Michayla wasn't so sure about hanging out with us at first. For the first 20 minutes after Mom and Dad dropped her off, she kept walking to her car seat, sitting down and trying to buckle herself in, in what I can only guess was her way of hoping that might get her somewhere else.
Later Saturday afternoon, the Corson and Seel families joined us for some yummy Kroger ribs (don't knock'em unless you've tried'em), some mojitos, and swimming. Lots and lots of swimming. Here Michayla, powered by her "jodie engine" pulls the skiiers, Elaine and Andrew.
The night was capped off with a fierce noodle war between Randy and Paul. I'm not sure who actually won, but the noodles took a beating!
Sunday we spent the afternoon with Paul's good friends, Darren and Tacy. We had a good time catching up with them and enjoying their kiddos.
Michayla decided that the life jacket was a great fashion statement and didn't want to take it off.
Sunday, the entire Hall clan gathered in our backyard for another round of swimming. Kelly was able to get in the pool and move around for the first time since her injury. Here Jodie, Kelly, Em and Andrew have "noodle horse" races.
Overall, it I had a wonderful weekend surrounded by family and friends.
