Rainy day escape

Today was day three of the rain.  Maddie and I needed an escape and Leigh and Hayes were up for the adventure.  We went to play at the playscape at the Katy Mills Mall.  Both Maddie and Hayes had a wonderful time.

 One of the few pictures I was able to get of the two of them together.  These kids are in constant motion.

Happy 30th Birthday Kelly!

Today was Kelly's 30th Birthday.  We celebrated at the Corson's with fried chicken, and Kelly's favorite, chocolate chip cookies!

Independence Day!

We celebrated Independence Day with family and friends at our pool at the old house.  Michael smoked the best ribs and stuffed pork loin that I've ever had in my life.  It was a nice day to celebrate the U.S.A.

First day of the new job

Today was the first day of my new gig as stay-at-home-mom.

We started the day with Maddie helping me put on my make up.  This girl is going to me an expert at make up by the time we let her actually wear it at sixteen.

We then went to Phillips 66 to have lunch with Paul, Lynne, and Lisa.  Maddie sad exited to meet Daddy's coworkers and to see where he works.

After lunch I wasn't feeling well and Maddie actually watched TV and let me rest on the couch.

At dinner time Maddie decided to eat her dinner like a puppy dog.  She thought she was so funny. 

I have the best job ever!

Sofia's baptism

On Sunday we celebrated Sofia's baptism.  Maddie made it through the baptism and then was ready top bolt.  To be fair, the service started at her lunch time.  Maddie and I spent the remainder of the service on thewonderful church playground.

Today we celebrated Maddie's cousin, Sofia's first birthday at her house in Georgetown.  Maddie had a great time playing in the playroom, eating cookies and
Swimming.  The only picture I have us of Maddie riding front-facing for her first road trip.

Friday Fun day

Paul works thirty minutes extra each day and gets a day off every month.  He took that day today.  We had loss of fun including taking Gus to the dog park close to our new house.  To say he enjoyed it would be an understatement.
